How McGraw-Hill falsifies 5th Grade History in their textbook and digital platform

We are creating a video library of how the McGraw-Hill textbook and digital platform miseducate 5th graders with

  1. Falsifying Historical Omissions: Creating an alternate history by omitting key historical facts. For example, McGraw-Hill states that Pocahontas was friendly with the Jamestown colonists and married John Rolfe, but omits the facts that a) she was married to a man named Kokoum according to the Jamestown colonial secretary, William Strachey, b) Kokoum was killed when she was kidnapped by Captain Samuel Argall, c) she was held for ransom for one year by the colonists, and d) she told her sister during her captivity that she had been raped.
  2. Factual errors: Stating something as a historical fact which is demonstrably wrong.
  3. Misrepresentations of the forcibly enslaved as ‘workers’.
  4. Justifications of land theft and slavery.
